Chaguar Basket Bowl

$98.00

Hand-woven from the strong Chaguar fiber (a type of bromeliad) gathered by the Wichi women in northern Argentina, these baskets imbue any space with a raw, refined elegance, whether used as a catchall or simply appreciated as art.
After gathering the wild crop, Wichi women process the Chaguar using a traditional method that includes soaking the harvest, extracting individual fibers and spinning them into weavable threads using ash. Finally, they weave these bowls and other pieces using ancestral techniques and natural dyes.

Size: D: 10” x H: 5”
Colors: Brown, blue, natural (undyed)
Fibre: 100% Chaguar
Technique: Handspun, handwoven
Origin: Wichí Community, Northern Argentina
Care: Only spot clean

Colors and sizes may slightly vary due to the unique, handcrafted nature of each piece and each artisan’s creative process.
