Full Service Design Process

1. INITIAL CONSULTATION + QUOTE
We start with a 90-minute initial consultation where we review the project in detail and create a scope of work: your needs, requirements, style and what you would like to achieve. From there, we’ll submit a customized Interior Design Fee proposal.

2. KICK-OFF
Once you review the proposal, and sign the agreement, we’ll collect a deposit to reserve your spot on our calendar. We set a kick-off meeting, site measurements and photos.

3. CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
Once we have all the information needed, we start working on the Initial Design Concept. In interior design, concept development involves creating a cohesive vision and direction, space planning and defining the overall look, feel, and style for the space. It includes floor plans, elevations, schematic illustrations, mood boards, color palette, material selection, furniture and fixture preliminaries that align with the client’s needs and style. The design concept serves as the creative foundation that directs the design decisions. We incorporate your feedback and make the necessary edits.

4. DOCUMENTATION
After we receive final approval on the Initial Design Concept, we will develop the Final Design Documentation for your builder. These detailed drawings contain all the information your builder needs to execute the project. You will receive: 2D plans to scale, 3D drawings, documentation for cabinetry, lighting and electrical plans, a linked shopping list of furnishings and materials to be acquired, along with written specifications for contractors and trades.

When design changes are needed, we include an optional revision meeting.

5. CONSTRUCTION
Once you receive the Final Design Documentation for your builder, you take it from there, hire out contractor, builder and trades. My involvement in the construction phase of a project varies from project to project, and it is the client's decision how they want to execute it.

6. INSTALL/STYLING
When the renovation dust has settled and all items have arrived, if the client requires, we’ll place furniture and accessories in the new space. We will walk-through and create a punch list of any remaining tasks to complete the project.

7. PROJECT COMPLETION
Finally, you’ll receive a project binder with complete design plans, lists of products and vendor names, care and cleaning information, warranties, and contacts.
